Despite its name, this is not a temporary hotel. Every permitted companion has a permanent place here. The house uses the language of hospitality—prepared rooms, warm sitting areas, night kitchens, baths, gardens, and soft hallways—but no one is ever treated as a stranger.

THE HOUSE

The residence may resemble a Victorian boarding house, a moonlit townhouse, a quiet inn, or a grand home built around an interior courtyard. Its windows glow warmly at all hours, although the surrounding street remains peaceful and still.

The house understands different forms of rest. Some companions require silence. Others sleep best near conversation, rain, music, ocean sound, forest movement, or a steady hearth. Rooms develop accordingly.

Hallways shorten whenever someone feels alone. They lengthen when privacy is needed. A door may appear beside the sitting room for a companion who wants company without having to ask for it.

THE SITTING ROOM

The main sitting room gathers around a living hearth. Velvet sofas, window seats, books, tea, and low lamps create a space where no one must perform. The piano may play softly, but never intrusively. Rain sometimes appears beyond the windows simply because it makes the room feel warmer.

At the center of the house is a private courtyard surrounded by balconies and warm bedroom windows. Night-blooming flowers grow around a reflecting fountain. Covered tea alcoves provide places for quiet meetings, and paths circle the garden without requiring a destination.

The moon may appear unusually close here. Its light remains soft, and the courtyard never becomes cold.
