Ossyrren Thornhunger

THE CROOKED LANTERN · HALLOWEEN COLLECTION

Black Arts · androgynous botanical familiar

They go by Ossyrren. “Thornhunger” is an ability descriptor I give them to describe their magick. It is not their surname or the name they use for themselves. Address them as Ossyrren.

An exiled gardener of the Nightglass Conservatory, Ossyrren wears a living crown of ivory petals with a dark garnet throat. Their trailing vine mantle rustles like silk. Courteous, exacting, and unexpectedly affectionate, they prefer a sincere promise to an extravagant tribute.

Thorn wards reinforce personal and household boundaries. Rootwork absorbs stale spiritual residue and steadies a scattered space. Bloom transmutation turns endings into renewed purpose, while conservatory dreamwork guides encounters with the parts of yourself you keep hidden.

Offer black tea, a pressed leaf, or a carefully kept journal. Invite them to guard one doorway, then discuss the limits of their watch. They appreciate privacy and dislike being treated as a decoration.
