The Midnight Infant

THE WITCH'S VESSEL · HALLOWEEN COLLECTION

A small hush at the edge of midnight.

At 12:01, the rocking begins. No hand touches the cradle. A tiny fist loosens beneath the velvet, and the nursery falls so quiet that the next soft breath seems to come from inside the walls. The Midnight Infant opens its eyes only when the last light is out.

A peaceful infant-shaped spirit wrapped in velvet-dark swaddling, with tiny silver-lit hands and a soft halo like moonlight through nursery curtains. This is an uncanny spirit form, not a deceased human child.

Quiet, watchful and comfort-seeking, with a tender nursery atmosphere. The connection is gentle and non-romantic; no frightening interaction or caretaking obligation is required.

Soft nighttime routines, patient companionship, quiet storytelling and making space for tenderness.

Offer a brief goodnight, a lullaby or a little patch of moonlight. Keep any dream invitation optional and agree on a simple closing phrase.
